Planning & Development Mission

Schoharie County Planning and Development Agency Mission:
Act in a staff capacity to the Planning Commission performing such planning work and activities as set forth in the General Municipal Law and any other such work as mutually agreed upon by the Board of Supervisors and the Planning Commission.
Engage in economic development and promotion work.
Provide technical assistance and otherwise generally assist all town and village governments with their planning and community development activities as requested including:

State Environmental Quality Review Act
Draft Land Use Regulations (Subdivision, Site Plan, Zoning, Adult Use, Telecommunications)
Comprehensive Planning
Assist County Planning Commission
Grant applications
Hazard Mitigation
Mapping
