The Schoharie County Office of Community Services, under the Schoharie County Community Services
Board and the Board of Supervisors, is charged with assuring that appropriate and effective services are available
for individuals in the County. Schoharie County fulfills that mission through a combination of services, some of
which are operated by the County and some of which are operated by not-for-profit agencies.
The Mental Health Department provides counseling, education, information services to Schoharie
County residents who are experiencing problems in living, including mental health and chemical dependency problems.
The department works cooperatively to evaluate community needs and to plan for the development of services that
effectively serve the residents of Schoharie County.
