County Home



The Board of Elections supervises all town, county, state and federal elections in the County. Commissioner's appointments are ratified by the Board of Supervisors. Commissioners represent the two parties receiving the most votes in the last vote for Governor. The Board serves as the registration point for all town, county, state and federal elections.

Attention Schoharie County Registered Voters:
On August 1, 2016 Schoharie County Board of Elections will be sending out change of address cards to registered voters in Schoharie County.
If any of your information has changed or you need an absentee ballot for the November 8, 2016 Presidential Election contact our office at 518-295-8388 or 8326.
If you receive a card for an individual who no longer resides at the address, let the Board of Elections know. We will be updating our voter registration with the correct information.

***** CORRECTION ***** We have just received notification today(8/9/16) from the NYS BOE office that there WILL be a primary. There will be a Conservative Primary September 13, 2016 in Schoharie County for the Delegates and Alternate Delegates to the 3rd Judicial District Convention for the 102nd Assembly District.
